In answer to your Question, Yes! " (Chiris etc.) and to see if his branch has any ties back to Darlington, SC." He has ties back to Darlington , SC.
I made an error in my last comment to you due to fact both Chiries' father and grandfather was named Brittian Gandy. It was his grandfather who married Mary Ross Holland and reared the Holland children. Then, Brittain Jr, Cheries' Father married Mary Holland (his step-sister) .
We have no records of Cheries Holland Gandy having a daughter by his first wife, Elizabeth Martin.
He married Martha Ann Ledbetter who was Ellen Elizabeth's mother, not my direct bloodline, 1/2 sister to my greatgrand Father Wm Jefferson Gandy.
She married Levi Martin Moody in Benton Co MS and moved to Wagoner OK.
My tree is public on ancestry under Crocker, Bryant, Kirby , Tolleson.
Is YDNA the mother's test?

I just notice Moody's middle name was MARTIN, I wonder if he is related to CHERIES GANDY'S mother's people?
There are several Martins married into my Crocker family here in MS.
