Message from Larry Lalonde to the other Larry Lalonde. First off, I'm not the Larry Lalonde that so tirelessly and admirably works to research and preserve the Lalonde family history and so much more. I'm not the Larry Lalonde of "Primus" fame, either. I'm just someone else named Larry Lalonde. This is a message for the Larry Lalonde of genealogy research fame. ...Hi Larry, still at it, eh? Good for you. I've asked my father to dig up the marriage certificate of his parents, Dawson Lalonde and Lucy Connelly so that I can find out what happened to Dawson, i.e. when and where he died. Alas, my father has no desire to learn the fate of his father who abandoned my dad and Lucy when my dad was very young. To this end, he has um... er... forgotten to look for said certificate. I'm not going to push it. So... in lieu of a marriage certificate, what to do? Can you help? Dawson, he of the vanishing act, met and married Lucy in Cornwall, Ontario, that's really all I know, except that according to legend, Dawson was part Blackfoot, or Huron depending on who you talk to. My sisters and I are keenly interested in tracking down Dawson. We have successfully traced our mother's Austin line through 16th century Barbados (I stood in the Austin cemetary in Barbados, taking notes, and let me tell you that was haunting... in more ways than one), and we want to trace our paternal line even if we have to do so on eggshells. Enough rambling. Can you help? Looking forward to your reply... and to any helpful response from others who read this. Best Regards, the other Larry Lalonde.
