Need help in finding the proper link for a Henry W Gammons. The Henry W. Gammons I am looking for was married to Claire (Clara) Cook. He was born in I believe Brockton Massachusetts about 1843 or 1842. I have found a Henry W. Gammons in both the 1880 and 1870 census married to Clara Gammons with son Elmer Gammons (who should be my great-grandfather). I do not know if this Henry W. Gammons is the same one that is show as serving in E Company 1 Massachusetts H. Art'y or the one serving with F Company 2 Massachusetts Cavalry. I am also not sure if the Henry W. Gammons listed as being born in Lee, Massachusetts, mother Lucinda and father Rufus K and the one listed being born Cav 1842 in Brockton, Massachusetts are really all the same person.
Elmer Gammons was born about 1866 and died about 1898. He married a Sadie Taylor who is listed as Sallie Gammons in the 1920 census.
They had the following Children
CLAIRE GAMMONS, b. May 18, 1888, Norristown, PA
ELMAR GAMMONS, b. 1891, Boston, Mass
BESSIE GAMMONS, b. 1893, Brocton, Massachusetts.
KATHRYN GAMMONS, b. August 25, 1893, Brocton, Massachusetts.
WILLIAM GAMMONS, b. 1895, Brocton, Massachusetts.
