Jimmy L. Gammons, 61, of Greeneville, Greene Co TN, passed
away Friday morning, January 24, 2014, at home. He was born
March 9, 1952, son of Oscar Perry 'Cotton' Gammons.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Lorraine Taylor;
half-brother: Don Taylor; and half-sister: Imogene Taylor.
He is survived by Diana Gammons Couch, the love of his life,
best friend, and caregiver; two half-sisters: Carolyn Brooks and
Phyllis Isbell; one half-brother: Kenneth Taylor; several nieces,
nephews, and great-nieces.
Jim was in management for Pet Dairy for several years and
worked in several different states before going to work for
Flav-O-Rich Dairy in Louisiana and Alabama. He was very
out-going, fun-loving person. He enjoyed karaoke, fishing, and
hunting.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Maurice
Robinson, Dr. Dorian, and the wonderful staff of Smoky
Mountain Hospice.
At his request there will be no formal visitation or service.
Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
