Alma Mae Gammon Epps, 85, of Rogersville, Hawkins Co TN,
died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Wellmont Hawkins County
Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a member of Henard's Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs.
Epps was a retired school bus driver with the Hawkins
County School Systems.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Epps;
parents, Rufus C. and Inez Lane Gammon; and brother,
Norman Gammon.
Survivors include one son, Roy D. Epps, Jr. and wife
Leslie of New Bern, NC; daughter, Chris Chesser of
Rogersville, TN; grandchildren, Jeff Epps, Kevin Epps,
Craig Epps, Brandi Wilson, Mike Chesser, and Frankie
Chesser; seventeen great grandchildren; and several
special nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 19,
2010, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, and other times
at the home of Chris Chesser, 119 Henardtown Rd,
Rogersville, TN.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m., Saturday,
June 19, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick
Dinkins officiating.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 2010,
at Highland Cemetery.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, is serving the Epps
family.
