im looking to see if anyone can add to or give more information on gammes.one was marr to a whicker on my fathers side the info is as follows
lucy pitfield =charles gammes 1810 symondsbury dorset
had a son THOMAS PITFIELD GAMMES=HARRIET WHICKER 1832-
charmouth dorset..THEY HAD A DAUGHTER lucy pitfield gammes-
she marr may 18th 1867 to JOHN.J.R.W.MERCER-
son of john mercer. surgoen].
we know harriet whicker dau, of john whicker of axminster devon. after she marr thomas pitfield gammes they disapear.
i then find the on the 1851/61/cecsers for high ham-
sommerset as as head [master]and masters wife .in charge of the workhouse at langport] then disapear again. we found their dau lucy mercer[gammes] on the 1881 whith their family, but no sign of harriet or thomas gammes..
any help on this family would be most helpfull.
