Are you looking for the Robert D. Gamblin that was married to Sarah Alice McGehee. He had a daughter named Verda. Here he is in the census if this is who you are looking for:
1900 Robert is found in Kennett, Dunklin county, Missouri, Independence, District 46. Robert is 22 and is a farmer. He is married to Alice and she is 29. She appears to have been married before as there are step children listed with them. Their ages indicate that these children are not Sarah Alice's, but children from her husband's marriage. They seem to be her step children. Apparently Their father has died, and she is caring for them. Thier names are: Sara age 12, Newton age 10, and Jane. The last name to these step children appears to be Hassel but should read Hammell. Sara Alice says she has had 5 children and 3 are living. All children are born in Missouri.

1918, September 12, Robert has signed up for the draft in Dunklin county, Missouri. He is described as being tall, slender, blue eyes, and black hair. He is married to Alice. He is a janitor at Kennett High School, and is 43 years old.

1928 Sara Alice has died. She is buried in Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett, Dunklin county, Missouri.

1930- Found in Dunklin county Mo, district 19 Robert Gamblin is married to Lillie, Samuel Marion Shaffer's widow. Robert is 54 and born in Georgia. His first wife Sarah Alice has just died in 1928 in Kennett and is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
