I know this is an old post, but I recently started a family tree research project. John and Ida were my Great Grand-parents whom I never knew. My Grandfather was Lou Gamage, son of John and Ida.
Here is what I know. I would love to hear from you if you have any additional information and where you fit in the famiy tree.

John Gamage (parent George Gamage) was born est. 1867. He died 11 OCT 1937 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois.
John married Ida Vance.
John Gamage and Ida Vance had the following children:
1. Louis Gamage was born 12 oct 1917. He died 31 may 2003.
2. Margaret Elizabeth Gamage was born 15 JUL 1915 in Macomb, McDonough Co., Illinois.
3. Harry G Gamage.
4. John Edgar Gamage.
5. Mabel Gamage.
6. Florence Gamage.
7. Ethel Gamage.
8. Edna Gamage.
9. Mary Gamage.
10. Isbel Gamage.
Ida later married Harold Pollock after John's Death
