The information I have from a family member is that Ferdinand was born in Cap St. Ignace, Quebec and left for Michigan in 1850. He worked in the Forest Mine of Ontonagon, Upper Michigan and left for Minnesota in 1853.
He died in Langford, S.D. in 1907 and is buried there.
I have most of the information on him but nothing on his first wife Marguerite Godreau and would like to find out were she was from and were the marriage of Oct 23, 1852 took place. Did he meet her in Michigan or did she also come from Quebec? Is there any family member that may have a clue to this???
