Hello Elise
Elija Jolly was my great uncle. He is the Son of Lee M Galyon, Gallion, Gallyon(etc.) and Elizabeth Ambrose. His brothers and sisters were: John, Thomas,Drucilla,Benjamin,Marion (male),Annie Margaret, Evaline and Charles William (my grandfather)I can supply DOB for some of these as well as DOD.The family, with the excetion of John and Thomas, who stayed in Tenn.,moved to Texas approx. 1889.The information I have on his date of birth is in 1862, in Nashville. This was taken from the birth certificate of one of his children, He is buried in the Old Bells Cemetary, Bells Texas, Fannin County along with his wife, Susie Brundage Taylor. I have more information on her as well. She was the great great granddaughter of President Zachery Taylor.
It is very exciting to find some one else who is researching the same line. It has been very difficult to go any further back than 1860. I find no trace of Lee M. in Tenn.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
