The John who married Polly Norman ca. 1822 was not a son to Jacob and Eliz. Arnold Gallion...he was almost certainly a grandson.
This John died before 1830 and Polly Norman Gallion eventually married an Amos Gallion who was "most probably" a brother to John. Who John's father was is a guess between Young and Samuel Gallion. I favor Young by a long shot.

The John who married Vera Smith in Grainger Co. ca. 1818 is a son to Jacob and Elizabeth Arnold Gallion. Vera was (at least) a 2nd wife. This John had more sons than just Isaac and Abraham. He had James, Calvin, John Jr., William, Isaac, Abraham, Hugh,Noah, and Thomas. Said John died in Bradley Co., TN ca. 1843. I am a descendant of this John by way of his son James. James married an Avi Smith ca. 1819 in Grainger Co. and they lived their entire married life in Grainger Co. I hope this has been helpful.
