good work Mike...I do have Frank in my census records for Loudon Co. 1900, 1910, and 1920.In 1900 he was listed as 33 yrs. old, born in NC,married to a Rebeccah, with children William S.(Samuel) at 13 yrs., Hattie at 9 yrs., Luther at 6 yrs., and Molly at 4 yrs.The 1900 census records said that Frank and Rebeccah had been married 16 yrs. and 4/5 children survived. In 1910 Loudon Co. census Frank P. Galyon is listed as 48 yrs. old/born in NC, his wife is now named Rachel (47 yrs. old and born in TN), his children are "Huss" (20 yrs. old/apparently this is William Samuel), Luther (15 yrs.), Mella (14 yrs.), and Jessie (daut.-10 yrs.).I have Rachel as nee Franklin, married 3-26-1883 in Loudon Co.In 1920 Frank P. is 58 yrs. old as is Rachel.Daughter Jennie May is listed as 18 yrs. old.
I don't believe Frank P. was related to any of the other Galyons in Loudon Co. at the time.I know their lineage well.I believe he probably was born in NC. around 1860.
However, I have NC censi and I find no trace of a Frank P. in 1860,1870, or 1880.
I think the best thing to do is to get a newspaper record of his obituary. There may even be a copy of his death certificate in the county records for Loudon.I'm afraid these records don't usually list parentage but we might get lucky.e.g.If we could find out what P. stood for in Frank P.Gallion's name...it might help out a lot.
good luck.
