Anderson Mack was the son of Antipas Coulter Galyon and Alice McMillan. Anderson's siblings were Oscar, Lucy, Lillie, Hobart, Roy, Maynard, & Holmes William. Antipas was born in 1865 to Allen Anderson and Lucinda Vineyard of Sevier Co. Allen Anderson was born ca. 1824 to Gilbert and Elender S. Thomas Gallion in Sevier Co. Gilbert was born ca. 1799 "most probably" to Amos Gallion and his unknown wife and probably in Surry Co., NC. Amos was born ca. 1770-80 to Jacob and Elizabeth Arnold Gallion in Surry or Wilkes Co., NC. Jacob and Eliz. were married ca. 1753 in Harford Co., MD where Jacob was born ca. 1733 to Thomas and Mary Young Gallion who were married ca. 1731 in Harford Co. Thomas was in turn born ca. 1707 to John and Mary Wright(?) Gallion of Harford Co. John was in turn born ca. 1670 "most probably" to the original Gallion immigrant to America, one Joseph Gallion who came to Maryland in 1664 from London, England to be a tobacco planter. Joseph was born ca. 1633 to William and Joan Palmer Gallion of London, England who were married ca. 1615 in Chigwell, Essex, England. And there the trail stops for now.

We need some research in early Sevier Co. to see if there is anything definitive on Amos. Amos was in the 1830 and 1840 Sevier Co. censi but he died before 1850. We don't know who his wives were. And we have no source documentation that Gilbert was actually his son although the "fit" is really good.
