Hi Sara Gordy-Griffin and all other
descendants of the Galyon family!
Eva Mae was my ggrandmother too. As you said, she did marry into the Galyon Family and unfortunately, my dad, her grandson Robert E. (Galyon) Gray cannot remember her
maiden name. My grandma was her oldest
(I think) daughter, Esther Mae. I also knew
Uncle Ernie, her older brother -when I was a
small girl. He was visiting my grandma Esther in San Francisco. Here's how my Dad thinks the children of Eva and Chester went- starting with the oldest (not positive if the age lineup is right): Ernest, Esther, Dorothy, Francis, Bob, John, William, and Mary Galyon. If you want to try to share any other info - email me at:
[email protected]
I just found this website and all of my
distant and maybe not so distant relatives
and was thrilled! I'd enjoy communicating
with you and anyone else who wants to join in. I tried to post a message in re:George Tipton Galyon (jr.) who writes here alot and seems to have tons of knowledge about our ancestors. I haven't seen my post yet.
There are other posts here mentioning the people I've talked about and also a few about Chester Galyon - Eva's husband - who my Dad says did not die in a train accident but was a machinist for the Missouri Railroad and had a heart attack while at work. Just search the names on this forum and see what comes up. Looking forward to talking to you.
