John Isaac Gallion was born in MO ca. 1875 to Noah and Phoebe Smith Gallion. Noah and Phoebe were married ca. 1855 in Carroll Co., ARK. Noah was the son of John and Very Smith Gallion who were married ca. 1818 in Grainger Co., TN. Very was John's second wife, the first wife is unknown. Noah was born ca. 1828 probably in Roane Co., TN.
John Gallion is known as John Sr. He was my direct forebear also. John Sr. was born ca. 1770 probably in Wilkes Co., NC to Jacob and Elizabeth Arnold Gallion. Jacob and Eliz. were married ca. 1753 in Harford Co., MD. Jacob was born ca. 1733 to Thomas and Mary Young Gallion who were married ca. 1731 in Harford Co. Thomas was in turn the son of John and Mary Wright? Gallion. Thomas was born ca. 1707. John was in turn the son of the original immigrant to America, one Joseph Gallion, who came here from London (England) in 1664 to be a tobacco planter in MD.

Joseph was born ca. 1633 in London, England to William and Joan Palmer Gallion who were married in 1615 in Chigwell, Essex. And there the trail stops for now.
