In the book: Grayson Co. & the War Between the States, by James P. Stamper, pages 34-35, a notation is written: "S.B. Cornett made the following report for his district where he claimed two rifle companies and one light horse. District No. 3 Men between the ages of 18 and 45 subjected to service by the laws of the United States. ...Tolliver Gallion.. By S. B. Cornett, Commissioner"
I'm not sure what all this means but maybe it will lead you somewhere. Toliver was my Gr gr gr grandfather by his daughter Sufina Olive born 11/20/1844. Good luck, Deb
