I believe it is very likely that Mary Galyon was a daughter to Daniel and Elizabeth Brown Galyon who were married ca. 1844 in Knox Co., TN. Daniel's parents are not source documented but it is most probable that they were Young and Nancy Gallion. Daniel was born in NC ca. 1811 and there are no other NC Gallions/Galyons of that vintage with sons born 1810-1820 that are not accounted for. Young was in turn a son to Jacob and Elizabeth Arnold Gallion who were married ca. 1753 in Harford Co., MD. Jacob was born 1733 to Thomas and Mary Young Gallion also of Harford Co., MD. Thomas was born ca. 1707 to John and Mary Wright? Gallion and John was born ca. 1670 to the original immigrant to America, one Joseph Gallion. Joseph came to America in 1664 to be a tobacco planter. He (Joseph) was born ca. 1633 to William and Joan Palmer Gallion who were married ca. 1615 in Chigwell, Essex.
