Great that you have a reunion. I wonder if you have any old photographs of the Sevier Co. Galyons. Antipas...Allen Anderson...etc. old Gilbert would be asking too much..he died in the 1870s and did leave a will.

I am descended from the Grainger Co. Galyons. The oldest Sevier Co. Galyon was Amos who died in 1840-50 time period. Amos was probably Gilbert's father and they both lived up in the Knob Creek area. Amos was a brother to a John Gallion who was my forebear. John and Amos were born around the 1770-1780 time period to Jacob and Elizabeth Arnold Gallion of Surry Co., NC.

I do have a manuscript in the McClung library on the Galyons. It is now almost 10 years old and I am working on an update.

Please stay in touch...George.
