Hannah was a daughter to Abner Gallion (b. 1795 to Joshua Gallion) and his unknown 1st wife. Joshua in turn was a son to Jacob and Eliz. Arnold Gallion. Jacob was born ca. 1733 to Thomas and Mary Young Gallion of Harford Co., NC. Thomas was in turn the son of John and Mary (Wright?) Gallion of Harford Co. and was born ca. 1707. John was a son to the original immigrant, Joseph Gallion, and was born ca. 1670 in MD.
Joseph came to America in 1664 from London, England with his wife Alice. Shortly after he got here he had another wife, Sarah. Joseph was born ca. 1633 to William and Joan Palmer Gallion of London, England who were married ca. 1615 in Chigwell, Essex. It is thought that the Gallions of England are French in origin with the original spelling being Gallienne.
