Thanks for your note. The big task before us re Roane Co. folk is to confirm the pre Civil War lineages. There are a few Roane Co. Galyons in the 1800s who are connected to the Burke Co., NC Gallions and not the Surry Co., NC Gallions. E.g. Wm. Y. and James Madison Galyon. Lee M. Galyon's heritage remains a mystery.
