Mr. Galyon: Thanks so much for the quick reply. I am assuming the picture you refer to is the one Scott used in his book "The Names." I have that photo. In fact, Scott borrowed the Scott picture album from my father when he wrote that book. Scott's first name, by the way, is Navarre. He is retired and living in Jemez Springs, NM, where his late parents retired following their teaching careers at the government school at Jemez. I would be delighted to receive any information you have about old Isaac. I have a number for Mike Galyen and may give him a call after I hear back from you. I'm not sure how we do this exchange of information. If you want to mail, I'm at 165 N. Roosevelt, Columbus, OH 43209. Or call at (614) 235-4531. I'm a little surprised that the info about Elizabeth and her Indian background was not known to the relatives. Natachee Scott Momaday tended to exaggerate, and the last time I talked to her (around 1994), she admitted (?) that her grandmother may have been one-half Indian. She always claimed we were related to the famous Scott family, the first, maybe second, governor of Kentucky and a Revolutionary War general. It took me two days of research in Frankfort to ascertain there was no truth to that. The governor's sons were, interestinly enough, killed by Indians and he left no male heirs. Sorry I'm rambling. I'm exicted to see what Mike Galyen sent you. I would also be interested in who you think Isaac's father was. At one time, I was convinced there were two Isaac Galyens in Northern TN, but never nailed that down.John Thomas
