I'm researching the BALDWINS and BRACKETTS of Roane County, TN. They are found in the same 1830 & 1850 neighborhoods as GALYON. My gggrandmother, Malinda BALDWIN (b.1838) is living with Nancy BALDWIN (b.1809) in the 1850 census, and I'm searching to learn more about her. I found the 1879 T.M. GALYON & Nancy BALDWIN marriage record while doing a search at ancestry.com of TN Marriages. I haven't figured out who this Nancy is yet, but believe that she and T.M. are connected to the above BALDWINS & GALYONS. (Also, my gggrandfather's sister, Sarah, married John GALYON.) Other surnames related to the BRACKETTS that I also see connected with GALYON are EASTER, LANE, & SNOW. Many of these people are buried in Fooshee Cemetery and Paint Rock Cemetery.
What year did Thomas M. GALYON marry Mary E? And do you have Mary E.'s maiden name? I would appreciate any other info that might lead to a connection.
