Hi - I'm William Randall Gallup of Jacksonville, Florida. My line as I understand it is:
I'm the son of William Gallup who is the son of James O. Gallup and Mary McNelly (she came from Mayo County Ireland). James is the son of James D. Gallup (he was married to a lady by the last name of Strong).
James and Mary moved from Scranton, PA to Binghamton, NY. They had 3 sons and 2 girls (James, John, William, Mary and Eva). They moved from Binghamton in the 60's to Daytona Beach, Florida and ended their days in Jacksonville, Florida. James O. died in 11/87 and Mary in 12/90.
Would anyone have any information on the Gallup's from Scranton, PA? I have a copy of the 1987 Gallup book and was able to link him to his father James D. Gallup.
