I have a Mary Gallup b. abt 1754 m. Stukley Stafford with the same children.
Some others have Stukley Jrs' death record which says his mother was Lydia. There does not seem to be any record of the marriage in Vermont records.
Does the book give a source for the entry ?
My line is (Claude A., John A., Norman A.,Smith L., Stukley Jr., Stukley Sr., John & Mary, Thomas Capt., Samuel, Thomas 1, John Roger)
A Mrs Gladys King's mother from Mass did most of the early research on the Stafford family. Also Joan Hicks has sent me a lot of files. Joan did a lot of research and can not find the Gallup/Stafford marriage recorded in Vermont. It
may have taken place elsewhere. I have an open mind and can go with the Esther Gallup for now.
Is this book available for lookups ?
