I can add no pertinent information to this Gentry/Gallion linege. You have all that I have. We did uncover information recently linking a Madison Gallion of 1840 McDonough Co., Ill. to Jackson Co. Nowhere in that documentation does it specifically mention who Madison's parents were but it was either Jacob or Thomas. However, there was no mention of Gentry's in that documentation/correspondence. The Barbara Black reference you make is probably the most tenuous bit of data in the Jackson Co. Gallion lineages. That is a singlar piece of information that came from a Mrs. Thelma White many years ago and we have never been able to determine where Mrs. White got that piece of data. Nor have we been able to corroborate it. It is true that the 1820 Jackson Co., TN census has a Barbary Gallion aged 445+ yrs so at least half of Mrs. White's information is probably correct.
