No I am not descended through George Wilson Galyon. Re the verification of the lineage back to the "original immigrant"..actually, I am probably the source of your information and, therefore, cannot really be a "verifier". You will not find anyone else who can verify this information. Actually, I did not originally determine the lineage connections back to Joseph...Cullen F. Galyen of Memphis, TN and Paul F. Dietz of Santa Clara, CA collaborated on this research some twenty years ago and were kind enough to share it with me. I did do the connections in TN back to Jacob and Eliz. Arnold of Surry-Wilkes Cos., NC but from there on back it was Paul and Cullen's work. Both Paul and Cullen are not on the net and probably never will be.
