Bill, I realize that your posted message I'm responding to was posted in 2006, thus this data may not help but here's what I got:
Joseph Fannin b. 1802 in Russell Co.,VA, s/o: David Fannin & Jane Scott ( never heard of Bryand Fannin & Mary Heath??? who some say are is parents.)
Joseph m. MARY GALLION around Aug. 1860 Known children:
William (stepson-child of Mary &David Bradley) who used the Fannin surname.;
John Nelson; Alfred Riley; Elmira; Amanda;Thomas; & Edward.
