Dear George Galyon, Thank yo so very much for your detailed reply to my post. It is in deed extremely helpful. I thought from the naming pattern of my Elizabeth's children, that her father might be Daniel. I found a biography of Elizabeth & Isaac Alldredge's son William R. Alldredge of Danville, Illinois (with whom Elizabeth lived the last several years of her life...explaining the burial record I found for her in Illinois). Anyway the biography listed Elizabeth's living children at the time, and her daughter Martha was Mrs. William Stanley. So the Stanleys, Alldredges and Galyean/Gallions were certainly connected even in my line. Also in the 1880 census, Elizabeth lists her father's birthplace as Ohio, and her mother's birthplace as Tennessee, so that seems to be in accordance with some of the information you gave me. Guess I'll just keep poking around trying to find some cousin somewhere that has a record of my Elizabeth's birth, or some cemetery or other legal document that actually lists her parents names. Anyway, I want to sincerely thank you again for taking the time to see where my Elizabeth might fit into the family tree. You are very thoughtful to be so generous with your time and information, and I am most grateful. All the best, Cheri Fulmer Notify Administrator about this message?
