A great mystery this Thomas (Sexton) Gallion. Do you know why he changed his name? He even went to the trouble of legally changing his name in 1845, some twenty plus years after he had informally adopted the Gallion name. I have had sporadic contacts with people of Thomas' lineage over the years. None of them has ever known the story of his name change.
