I was in the genealogy library today and came across this info re: Grainger Cnty TN.
MORTALITY SCHEDULES, TN - 1850-1850-1860.
Abi Galyon 82 died Feb born in NC. Her parents from NC.
My g-g grandfather was Stephen Gallion, brn in KY 1826. Atempting to find names of his parents. His father was born in KY & Mother in NC. Do not know any names of Stephen's siblings.
Could Abi by any chance be his mother.

Also found this today from Early Tax Records Grainger Cnty, TN.
James Gallan SUcnty 1799

and in GR cnty:
James Gallyin 1821
William Gallyin 1821
John, Jr Gallion 1805
Joshua Gallion 1805
Thomas Gallion 1805
Josiah Galleun 1805
I found this interesting as Stephen gave the above names to his sons. Would you be able to share more info on the above ?
