Gallion Family Genealogy Forum

Hi. I come from the line that settled along the OH-IN border. They came to the area in the early part of the 1800's from NC, as do most of the Gallion lines. I belive that pretty much all of the NC Gallions descend from the MD Gallions of the 1700's. I think of your line every time I drive State Rd. 46 from Columbus, IN to Bloomington,IN to take my daughter to IU. We pass by Birdie Gallion (maybe it's spelled Galyean) Rd., a small country road that leads you through the countryside of Monroe county and through the area where your line settled. SR 46 also passes by a couple of old cemeteries, I have often wondered it any of them are buried there. I didn't even know I was related to the Gallions when we moved here 4 years ago. I am from northern IN and had not lived in the state for over 20 years, my husband is in the Army, but he retires this summer and we are heading home! If there is anything I can do to help you, let me know. My files are in a mess right now and I have not recorded the information on the MD Gallions yet.
