Alvin Ross Galyean is a Wayne Co., Ind. Galyean. Alvin was son to Milo and Eliz. Barnes Galyean and Gson to William and Hulda Lamb Galyean all of Wayne Co. The Wayne Co. Galyeans came to Wayne Co. ca. 1811 from Preble Co., Ohio where they had been since 1805. The family head was a Thomas and Margaret Williams Galyean or Gallion as it was more commonly spelled back then. Thomas and Margaret left the Wilkesboro area of NC ca. 1805. Thomas was born in Harford Co., MD ca. 1755 to a James and Ruth Gilbert Gallion. James is thought to be a son to John and Eliz. Evans Gallion also of Harford Co. John was born ca. 1700 to John and Mary Wright Gallion also of Harford Co. This latter John is thought to be a son to the original immigrant to America, one Joseph Gallion. Joseph came to America in 1664 from London, England.

Are you knowledgeable on the descendants of Alvin Ross and Hannah Makenson Galyean? If so, I would be interested in knowing the line.
