Looking for information on James W. Gallion; family stories say he was born in Md., d. Ohio dates unk. He married Anna Wagers. Their son William J. (b.unk) lived with his Wagers grandparents after his mother died; his father was a circuit riding teacher.

William J. Gallion m. 12 Dec. 1836 Elizabeth Jane Lanham, daughter of Moses I. and Margaret Croskey Lanham. One of their children, William Walker Gallion, b. 1866, d 1933, m. Josephine Drouhard, daughter of George and Mary Drouhard, both of whom were b. in France. Most of the descendants of this family live in the Killbuck/Millersburg area of Holmes Co., Ohio.

Have information on later generations, but I really need early information on this family.

Does anyone know what the original spelling of the name was -- Gallion/Galyon or something else, and where they came from?

Thanks.
