This is just a FYI. During the war, while in France, my father, Virgil A Gallion, saw a shoe box with the name GALLION on it in a shoe repair shop. He asked the shop keeper where this lady lived and he would deliver the shoes - he wanted to find info re our family name. She(the Gallion lady) told my father that she had a brother who moved to USA before the war - this conversation would have taken place in 1944/45. Very likely Joseph came from France - There are Gallions there - found them in the phone books as I traveld there. Best of luck on your search. Iris
