Usually, of course, these names in the tax sale list would be in chronological order except the person writing the notice didn't always have the correct order. It does raise the possibility that Elizabeth, named last, could be the Elizabeth in the 1880 census, even though she was older than Nora/Mona. I need to see if I have the death date for James Nash Gallimore--that might provide a clue. The fact Malinda is named first, once again, suggests she is the oldest Hoskins child even if she is unmarried. I'm not much help here, but will try to do a little snooping.
