I am researching the Barbara Milnster Russell line and ran across a marriage contract between Asa Gallimore and Barbara Russell dated September 22, 1828, Book 16, page 79 of the Deeds of Buncombe County. They never married, as they had a falling out of some kind. She did have two children, after James Russell her husband died about 1811/1812, after James's death. There where Narcissa Ann born 1815, Sarah Russell born 1814 (my 4th great grandmother). I do know that after the falling out Asa did move out of NC. Would like to know if there are any family stories about Barbara Russell or that of her two daughter's.
Don't want to ruffle any one feathers, but could Asa have been their father?
