According to the information I have, the Asa who received land in Hancock Co. was the one who settled in Pope Co. IL and married Rachel Murphy. Elizabeth Gallimore is the daughter of Asa(ph) Gallimore and Catherine Garren and sister to the Sally & Nancy mentioned elsewhere on this message board. After Catherine Garren died, Asaph went to GA & remarried. He died in Haralson Co. GA. Asaph was, however, in the War of 1812 & likely was eligible for a grant, but no one has found a record of it. The James mentioned is James Larkin, who also resided in Henry Co. TN.
