Gayle: Nancy Gallimore is the d/o Asa(ph) Gallimore & Catherine Garren (fr. a Randolph Co. NC family). This is a difficult family, indeed. Nancy & the Sally who married John Beck were sisters. Asa was born in 1767, settled in Haywood Co., but after Catherine died, he moved to Paulding Co. GA. He married Mary Hobbs in 1834 in GA. He was in the War of 1812, and according to his military papers, was born in VA. He died in Haralson Co. GA. His children, according to the records I have, are Mary E., Susanna, Elizabeth, Silas, Nancy, Sally (Sarah), Caroline, Asa(ph) Jr.

Also, Vicky: Allison/Alston Marvin Gallimore, who married Sarah Nance was the son of Emerson Gallimore, born 1801, & Charlotte Riley. My question for you is: do your records show who might be Emerson's father? Or, do you have any family tradition clues as to who he might be? I believe Emerson's father is Elisha, as Elisha married a Margaret Emerson. It is on the basis of the name alone that I believe this, but I have no proof.
