Hello Robert: My family line cousin Anna (listed in this forum) has managed to trace our direct line back to James G. in NC in the early 1700's. She has found another cousin who has traced back further and says the Gallimores evidently were French Huguenots who escaped from France during the persecution and migrated to England, Scotland, Wales-he evidently has info that says our family gives their birthplace as Scotland. Do you know any of this? Also-do you have any knowledge or links to James G.?
