Elizabeth,
I've been intrigued for some time by a man named Jesse Gallimore who left NC for Missouri. He had a couple of sons who then left Missouri for California, and I've always suspected he (Jesse) was the father of the San Jose Gallimore settler, but have been unable to prove it. Might be an idea to investigate. No one has done much research in MO.
