I have been researching my family history for a number of years. My family name of Gallimore has been one of the hardest to locate information. I would appreciate any information I can get. The Gallimore name came from Strathclyde either in southern Scotland or northern England. I found the borders changed throughout history. I do not know when they came to America. The oldest information I have is on Larkin Gallimore. He was born 1802 in North Carolina was married several times. His second wife is where my line comes from. His second wife was Mary Throgmorton, who was also born in North Carolina. They were married October 22, 1846 in Tennessee and had one child named George W. Gallimore, born 1849 in Henry County, Tennessee. George W. married Mary Elizabeth Perkins born 1851 in Tennessee. Her parents were James and Martha Perkins. George and Mary had four children named Mary Bee, William Randolph, Amos Eldridge, and Ellear Pernita. All were born in Henry County, Tennessee except Ellear who was born in Randoph County, Arkansas. Mary Bee is of my line and she married a John Newton King. I have more information on George and Mary's children if this is your line. I hope to hear from someone with this familly name.
