Susan, The Vestry Record I have seen does not name the parents of the Gallemore Orphans. I do believe the six
Gallemore Orphans are brothers and sisters. William Gallemore was married to Mary Tucker in 1747. Virginia
Law required a couple under age 21 to have the consent of
the parent(s) or guardian. This would mean that he was born
1725/26. Surveys for land in this area of Virginia were made 1711-1719 for lands on Nummisseen Creek and
Mawhipponock Creek. Ellington's Branch of the Nummisseen Creek was already named by March 6, 1711. Robert Bolling was the surveyor.
I am a Tucker descendant and two brothers of my ancestor
married daughters of Abraham Gallemore and wife, Sarah, of Greene Co., Tennessee.
Evelyn
