I have been researching my family history also and you mentioned juan bautista gallegos? This person was my grand-uncle born 16 June 1837 in Picuris, New Mexico, his father being my gg,Gaspar Antonio Gallegos born 27 May 1792 and his mother Maria Nicolasa Montes-Vigil born 7 Dec 1772, there was a total of 11 children - juan having 2 sisters and 8 brothers and then from his father's second marriage he gained 2 more sisters and 6 more brothers.
you can email me at olivasrosie@yahoo.com
thanks
rosie
