Looking for information regarding Jesse and Margaret Gallant. Both born about (1842) and both alive until at least 1907. Possbily from the Mason City, Iowa area. They had eight sons and three daughters. One son was William Benjamin Gallant, my grandfather b 8 Dec (1875) d June 12, 1939. Three of the sons (of Jesse and Margaret Gallant) drowned in the Missouri River near Nebraska City, Ne on 20 March 1903. Jesse was possibly a Confederate soldier born in Bowling Green, Ky??? I belive my ancestors are German. The only other thing I know was Jesse's father was alive in 1907 and was 84 years old...so b (1823).
