I have since found the name of my great grandfather. His name was Jesse Gallant and married to Margaret Gallant. The Jesse Gallant family had 8 sons and 3 daughters. I have recently found out 3 of the brothers drowned in the Missour River March 20, 1907. I had previously thought that there were four of them. I also found out my great great grandfather was alive and well in 1907. He was in his late 80s...but I still do not know his name. There was a heavy concentration of this line of Gallants in the Mason City, Iowa area.
