Probably wrong drownings! Maybe Gallants should stay out of the water. My Grandfather, William Benjamin Gallant lost four brothers all in one day in 1903 (I believe it was March 20th). They just vanished. Nothing was found and they were presumed drowned. Spouces had trouble collecting insurance. The disaster was in the Missouri River near Nebraska City. My Grandfather died in 1939 four years before my birth. I think he had several sisters. One was posssbily named Rhoda. I believe my Grandfather is burried in El Dorado, Kansas along with my Grandmother: Mary Henderson Gallant.
