Hello -
Searching for Gallants with roots in
Riga, Latvia.
Azer Gallant born approx.1830 in Latvia.
Some of his children immigrated to the USA:
Abraham B. 1857 Married Jennie Kaplan; they
immigrated to USA by 1885.
Henry to USA 1871. Married Sarah Goldberg.
Azer's nephew, Barney to USA 1903. He settled in NYC, then Florida.

Main interest lies in trying to locate any
connection/history with Latvia.
Story is that Barney's father owned a large
brewery in Riga .. have yet to prove this.
All suggestions welcomed.
