I have found record of two Gallants coming to MASS. in 1624 on the ship Hercules with a family named Brooke. They were listed as children not servants. They were part of the New England Plantation. My Martin was born in MASS, 1794 and shows up on census in NY in 1830, 1840, 1850 then heads to Ill. amd MO. then my g. grandfather goes back to PA. My grandfather is a child on the 1900 census in Washington State. I have never been able to make a connection to the Michel Hache dit Gallants. Still searching and could use help?
