Richard,

I'm afraid you'll have to provide a little more information. Sylvang and Sylvain were VERY common as a first name on PEI, particularly among the Gallants and Arsenaults. Do you know your grandmothers name, maiden name, even your mothers first name (I assume she was a Gallant?) would help.

I have a large file of Gallants from PEI, as well as other resources, and may be able to help you out. Please let me know.
