Is it possible your Charles Gallant had a son by the name of Charles?

I am looking for the parents of Charles Gallant who was born about 1858 on PEI. On December 4, 1883 he married Annie Grant in N.B. Annie's father was a Crossman but it appears she went by her mother's name of Grant.

Any information would be gratefully accepted!!
